Masonic Cornerstone Laying by Grand Master

Friday March 5th, the Grand Master of Florida Masons, Most Worshipful Dale L. Goerhig will lay the cornerstone at the new Bay County Library at 10 a.m. in the morning.

Please be present and support Bay County Masons as they welcome the Grand Master

Here’s the body of an email I received from the DDGM Wayne Wert:

Dear Brother,

The Bay County Public Library Cornerstone Ceremony will be held this Friday, March 5, 2010, at the new Bay County Public Library. It is located at 898 W 11th Street. Anyone intending/hoping to participate in the ceremony should be there at 9:00 AM. The ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM. The Cornerstone is beautiful!!!!    The weather should be great! Ms Jannette Lovett (?), Bay County Publicist, will be putting together a press release. Hopefully, some of the media will be present.

All Masons are requested to wear a dark suit/sport jacket, if possible. Do not let the requested attire keep you from attending!!! If you come from work and can’t dress as requested, come anyway!!! It would be great if we could have a huge audience as well as all the participants.

Masons have 4 suggested options:
  1. Wear your Masonic apron (PDDGM, PM, personal apron).
  2. Wear your Scottish Rite garrison cap.
  3. Wear your Shrine Fez.
  4. Wear your York Rite regalia.

(Just don’t wear an apron with any of the appendant order’s dress, e.g., fez and apron.)

And….don’t forget your family – bring them, too, along with all the in-laws and outlaws, to witness this historic event.

Please pass this information along to all Masons.

Take care and be safe.

Fraternally,

R:.W:. Wayne N. Wert, D.D.G.M.
6th Masonic District
